This anchor testing course is specifically aimed towards scaffolding management (estimators, managers, supervisors, foremen and chargehands) who are responsible for the planning of scaffolding with masonry anchors (and similar invasive anchors) for scaffold ties as per NASC Technical Guidance TG4:17


Aims

The aim of this scaffolding training is to give the attendees theoretical knowledge for the planning for the installation of anchor ties, and the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to undertake the tie testing in accordance with National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) Technical Guidance No. 4 (2011).

Introduction and welcome Work at Height Regulations 2005 - scaffolding stability NASC TG4 2019 Tie frequency and loads Selection of anchors for base materials Role of manufacturers and suppliers of anchors Installation requirements (including training, instruction & supervision) Test reports & tie tags Demonstration of the installation of common anchor types Practical exercise - tie testing (preliminary and proof testing


Testing

A written examination along with a practical exam will be required to pass this course


Certification

An In-House Certificate of training will be issued
